Quality time with the dad

All children need quality time with their dad. Today was Orchid's first day back to work. Baby Orchid got to hang out with her dad for the day. Four and I discussed this today. I asked her if she knew what they might be doing. What are some things she does with her daddy? Fishing was her answer, but she knew right away that Baby Orchid would not be fishing today.

Tonight, N took all of them on a bike ride. They went exploring and were so pleased with themselves when they returned. Apparently they ventured out to the area where the new houses will be built. Brand new road, gravel and piles of dirt. Four kept everyone in line. N said it was just like I was there.

I am thankful for the quality time they have with N. School just started, but Seven is already missing time with N. The challenges of a weekend work schedule.

We ended the day with a haircut for Seven and milk shakes. All were pleased. Books were read and now to brush some teeth. Not bad for a Monday.
