Christmas shopping success

Thank goodness for Santa Bucks! With a tight budget, I did not know if we would be able to get the children all they wanted for Christmas. Today was the Santa Buck special at the local grocery store. I had a list of things in mind, but uncertain of which and how many I would get. We did purchase two spinning Star Wars swords last summer for Christmas presents for $25. This was a good deal since their original price was $42 each. We got both on clearance and with other discounts. I found Star Wars walkie talkies for $9.99. The Lego set they wanted was originally $120.00. Last week, it was on sale for $107. I thought that was the best price to find, but was I in shock today. I found the same set on sale for $89! With $16 off in Santa Bucks, it was a really great deal! Both boys will share the Lego set, each get a sword and walkie talkie. For the girl, I found a digital Fisher Price camera. It's not the exact one I wanted, but was half the price. On sale for $34 and I got another $4 off with SB. She also wanted baked goods to make for her dollies. Found that for $19 with $6 in SB.
All the kids want for around $161. I was happy. It still seems like a lot of money, but I think we did the best we could on pricing. Relief and joy for having that part done. We only have about 6 other people to find things for and we are done.
Santa Bucks really worked for us this year. I didn't use them last year. Can't wait to see the kids faces when they open their gifts.
