Three to get ready

Today Fr. R's homily was about worries. He pointed out to everyone how much we worry. We all prepare ourselves for the next step in life. We are constantly preparing and worrying about how it will turn out. Everyone chuckled when he mentioned how we worry about preschoolers preparing for PreK. He said "How do you prepare for PreK?" His point was that we should quite worrying about the life to come and enjoy the place we are in. I have found myself pondering this exact topic earlier this week. These early years with my children are so precious. We are done with the baby phase. We are on to the next chapter. We are almost finished with the toddler phase too. Hard to believe how fast it can all go by. Thoughts like this helped make the decision whether or not to put Three in a young fives program next year. This will be her last year at home with me. Why rush her into school? Just let her be a kid and enjoy the time we have together. She will go to preschool three days a week. That is plenty and will give her a good foundation for Kindergarten.
Summer plans are sneaking onto the calendar. I am exited for summer. We need to get through spring break first. Looks like we will be skipping the MPLS area on this trip to MN. It is just easier to travel through the UP. It is Six's birthday. He really wanted to celebrate at the Mall of America. I haven't broke the news to him yet, but will need a good alternative option for his birthday. Who can beat MOA? Hopefully Grandpa has a few great ideas up his sleeve.
