and many others from family, friends, neighbors and grandmothers. We plan to start a button collection after this. Other kids had t-shirts they wrote on with 100 peace signs or 100 hearts. One girl had a frilly skirt with 100 sequins. A boy had 100 silly bands pinned to his shirt. It was a fun day for all the kids. Five came home with an autograph book of signatures of people in the building.

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing the photo. Kids do so much neat stuff in school these days! (Maybe I did too, but have forgotten. First grade WAS a long time ago!)
So neat! I think a button collection would be a fun way to get a relatively but meaningful souvenir!
