On the road again...

We decided to leave for Mn today instead of tomorrow. We decided to take the car instead of the truck. These last minute changes were truly last minute. Our departure time was not confirmed until after 12:30 pm. We pulled out of the driveway at 3pm. Pretty good considering I wasn't packed this morning. I managed to strip and wash all beds, getting them put back together before we left.

The trip was alright. Kids were full of energy. They watched one new movie from our blockbuster subscription, we still have two more for tomorrow. They colored and played games. I finished a book. N listened to Johnny Cash and Tom Petty. I will surprise him with Jerry Seinfeld tomorrow.

We stopped in Newberry, MI to spend the night. it is not confirmed how far we still have to go.

When we got here, it was 8pm. They were very excited about the POOL! Five was upset. He didn't want to go eat, he wanted to swim. We decided on Pizza Hut. They had a pasta special tonight for $10. Five really didn't want to go eat. He was almost delirious. I think he needed to eat, but couldn't get past the idea of getting to the pool. He told N "I'm not getting back in that damn car." OH BOY!

He was still angry when we got to Pizza Hut, but there was no more foul language. We managed to survive and everyone ate. With full bellies, off to the pool they went. I organized our stuff and we are set to depart tomorrow morning. Hopefully we get an early start, but by the looks of our supper square/firm beds, I am not convinced a restful night is in our future. Maybe we will be so tired, we won't notice it feels like we're sleeping on the floor.
